Cameron Diaz hated returning to being a blonde after a brief stint as a brunette and to top it off the process nearly made her bald.
The Charlie’s Angels star was forced to lighten her hair for her role in the crime caper flick with Drew Barrymore, but says she wishes she could have remained a dark-haired girl.
She explains, "for Charlie's Angels, the film makers wanted me
blonde. But I exist more comfortably as a brunette people treat
you more gently, they act more boldly toward blondes."
And the dramatic color difference wreaked havoc on her hair. She
adds, "I had to get my hair back from being brown, which is not
easy; you have to lift color. And I had to do it in a week. The
processing made my hair break off. I had to cut it."
Meanwhile, the feisty Diaz is looking forward to the premiere of her
new movie because she can get back at her older sister.
Cameron used to play a detective game with her big sister
when the hit show was first aired and she was forced to play the
token male, hapless sidekick Bosley.
She says, "I was in kindergarten when it was first out. My sister
would play Farrah Fawcett because she had long blonde hair. I would play whoever they would let me play, usually Bosley." – Wenn.
