Canada crushed Guatemala and China defeated Mexico in Kentucky, Louisville Wednesday in Group B matches that finalized the semifinal line-up for the Women's Gold Cup football tournament.
China, runners-up to the United States in the women's World Cup last year, defeated Mexico 3-0 to finish top of the group and will play Brazil in the first semifinal in Kentucky Saturday.
China destroyed Mexico with goals by Jin Yan, Pan Lina and Mora.
The United States, who finished level in group A with Brazil but won the group on a coin toss, will play Canada for the third time this year on Saturday, with the final in the eight-nation tournament scheduled for Monday night in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
Canada trounced Group B stragglers Guatemala 12-0 with 3 goals by Sinclair and another three by Latham while Franck and Neil scored a penalty goal, Hooper scored two whereas Kiss and Walsh scored a goal each - (AFP)
