ALBAWABA - An explosion of unknown origin occurred in a car near the Bab Sharqi neighborhood in Damascus, Syria.
A military source told Reuters that an explosive device, which was planted inside a car, targeted the Weapons Directorate center in Damascus.
A video was shared on social media showing smoke rising into the sky in the Syrian capital.
Gunfire was also heard following the sound of an explosion in the Bab Sharqi neighborhood in Damascus.
AFP said Tuesday, citing a civil defence source, that the incident killed at least one person.
Several others were injured in the blast.
