A car containing 60 kilogram’s (132 pounds) of explosives was found in the center of the Mediterranean city of Marseille Friday following an anonymous tip-off, French police said.
Police cordoned off an area around the Blancarde railway station and experts defused the bomb, they said.
A journalist from the newspaper Liberation received the warning in a telephone call from a man with a strong southern accent, according to the police -- MARSEILLE (AFP)
