A car bomb has exploded in the parking lot of a Shia mosque in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, with a confirmed death toll of four as of now.
The blast took place in the premises of Imam Hussein Mosque in the Al Anoud district of the provincial capital, Dammam, on Friday.
Based on reports, a bomber detonated the explosives in the mosque’s parking lot after failing to wage the attack inside the mosque’s main building.
Recently, a bombing hit a mosque in the al-Qudaih village in the province's Qatif district, killing 21 worshipers, including two children.
