Carrier Corporation (NYSE: UTX) announced the appointment of Aftab Khan to the position of Managing Director, Building Systems & Services (BSS), Middle East, reporting to the BSS EMEA President, David Appel, in Italy.
All General Managers of Carrier Saudi Arabia (AAC & CSSC), UTS Carrier, Carrier Kuwait, Carrier Qatar and NTC Carrier Lebanon as well as the Middle East Regional Directors will report to Dubai based Aftab.
Aftab joined Carrier in 1980 and has held several managerial positions in Carrier Saudi Arabia as Area Sales Manager, Operation Manager – FG, General Sales Manager, and Division Manager – Service. In 1995 he was appointed Managing Director, Carrier Saudi Arabia, and in April 2005 he moved to head UTS Carrier in United Arab Emirates as General Manager.
Additionally, Javed Arshad has joined as General Manager of UTS Carrier. Arshad holds a masters degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University in the US and joined Carrier in 1986. He has held several managerial positions including Carrier Saudi Arabia as Sales Manager – Finished Goods, Dealer development Manager, Marketing Manager and Director of Quality and Training for the Middle East. The last seven years were spent as general manager in Carrier Kuwait.
