Pakistani President General Pervez Musharraf Saturday accepted an invitation from President Fidel Castro to visit Cuba, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
Castro's special envoy Alberto Velazco San Jose delivered the presidential letter, detailing the invitation, to Musharraf.
The statement said the invitation had been "accepted in principle."
The letter also conveyed the Cuban government's decision to reopen its resident mission in Islamabad, which had been closed since 1990, the statement said, adding Musharraf welcomed the decision -- ISLAMABAD (AFP)
