As part of its ongoing policy of change and, in order to meet newly set strategy, CBI, Commercial Bank International has recruited the first batch of 36 UAE Nationals fresh graduates, for the year 2007. The newly recruited trainees have started their first phase of training through Mawarid induction program which is offered by EIBFS – Sharjah.

The program aims to provide the new recruits with knowledge and skills required to start their jobs at Banking industry and will introduce them to the business environment at the Bank.

This batch of trainees will undergo training for 3 months and then they will be assigned to CBI Branches/Divisions/Departments as On-Job Trainees for another 3 months. Upon successful completion of the total 6-month training programme, the trainees will be confirmed in the service of the Bank.

Khamis Buharoon, CBI CEO said, “The Mawarid programme aims to equip the trainees with a working knowledge of the banking industry vis-à-vis developing, understanding and recognising the value of and concepts of the banking industry. It is part of our philosophy to encourage the younger generation nationals and provide them the opportunities to be part of the growing history of this country.”

The trainees’ skills, knowledge, and attitude that are required for a successful banker and relationship banking are honed and sharpened in the training programme. This provides them with the impetus needed to function effectively in a banking environment.

EIBFS’s Mawarid programme was tailored made to meet CBI’s requirements. The trainees would gain a comprehensive understanding of interdepartmental bank functions and operations. This gives them the confidence of being right at home on the first day of work.
