Cem: relations between Turkey, Iran Developed Dramatically

Turkish foreign minister, Ismail Cem, said Monday in Tehran that his country's relations with Iran have developed dynamically in the last three years and both countries will do their best to solve existing problems, reported the Iranian News Agency (IRNA). 

Cem arrived in Tehran on Monday for a two-day official visit for talks with Iranian officials. 

According to the agency, the talks will focus on ways of strengthening bilateral relations and regional security. 

Iran’s foreign minister, Kamal Kharrazi, told the agency 

that Cem's visit takes place at an opportune time. 

He also expressed the hope that results of scheduled 

talks will help facilitate peace and stability in the region, IRNA said. 

The volume of trade between the two countries increased to $732.8 million during January-September 2000, compared to $503.32 million in the same period last year - Albawaba.com
