Event organized by Jeddah Chamber of Commerce Young Businessmen Committee is part of program to meet inspirational role models
At an event organized by the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce & Industry Young Businessmen Committee (JYBC), Mr. Abdul Hameed Al Saneed, CEO of i2 Communications, shared his experience and his company’s 15 year success story with a group of aspiring young businessmen who gathered to hear Mr. Al Saneed speak as part of the committee’s program to meet inspirational Saudi role models
Held in the Ismail Abu Dawood Hall at JCCI on Wednesday April 26, 2008, the occasion was also attended by i2 Communications customers, whose loyalty has played a vital role in the company’s growth into the largest distributor of mobile phones in the MENA region.
Commenting on his participation, Mr. Al Saneed, said: “The JYBC Role Model program is an admirable initiative and I was delighted to accept the organizing committee’s participate. The young businessmen of today have an essential part to play in the Kingdom’s economic growth and by showing them what can be achieved by being innovative and hardworking, the present generation of business leaders can inspire tomorrow’s entrepreneurs to succeed by making the most of the many exciting opportunities that await them.”
“It was also my great pleasure to invite the customers whose loyalty over many years is the foundation on which i2’s success is built,” continued Mr. Al Saneed. “Their supportive attendance demonstrated the importance of forming strong client relationships as the basis for long-term growth, such as we have achieved over the past 15 years, expanding from our leading position in the Saudi market to cover the entire MENA region.”
Mr. Al Saneed can speak about success with considerable authority since i2 Communications achieved profits of SR 7.5 billion in 2007.
He has also every reason to be proud of i2 Communications’ history as a Saudi success story. Today, the company has 240 stores spread across the Kingdom, branches in over 20 MENA region countries, and more than 2600 employees.
i2’s Communications plan for the future is to develop into a provider of complete services with the aim of doubling the value of the company’s services to its customers, partners and employees by strategic cooperation with the leading communications companies in the MENA region.
The Young Businessmen Committee in the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce has been formed to support the new generation of the city’s businessmen by providing them with opportunities to develop their skills and extend their knowledge through innovative programs such as meetings with successful Saudi businessmen who serve as role models.
