At the age of 54, Cher is thinking of adopting a baby daughter, reported ABCNEWS online.

"When you get to 40 or 50 you have lived life. You know what the hell is finally going on and can hand that knowledge down," the Oscar-winning actress and chart-topping singer told Britain’s tabloid the Sunday Mirror.

Cher said she was heavily influenced by "Basic Instinct" star Sharon Stone who at the age of 42 has just adopted a baby boy. "When I heard about Sharon, I knew what’s been missing in my life. She is so happy and I am so envious," Cher said. Unlike Stone, however, this will not be Cher’s first child. She has a 31-year-old daughter, Chastity, by her former singing partner Sonny Bono who died in a skiing accident two years ago, and a 23-year-old son, Elijah Blue, by rock star Gregg Allman.

Cher also believes that due to all the experience she has acquired, she would be a much better parent now.

However, the I Believe singer said that she would always " feel bad that I was so busy when my other two were growing up"—albawaba.com.
