The Middle East represents one of the fastest growing markets for “Made in China” tissue paper and disposable products, according to the China National Household Paper Industry Association, which is participating at Paper Arabia 2009, a three-day exhibition to be held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre from October 27 to 29.
The China National Household Paper Industry Association, which has 520 domestic members and 24 overseas members, is urging its members to work concertedly to meet the region’s growing demand for tissue paper and disposable products.
Paper Arabia 2009 will host a number of Chinese companies that are members of the China National Household Paper Industry Association, displaying a vast array of paper and tissue products and latest machinery pertaining to this industry. The show will exhibit for the first time machines for making disposable products, a clear indication of the evolution of this business in the Middle East.
Al Fajer Information and Services, which is organizing the show for the second year, will host companies from the paper, tissue and converting industry. This show offers opportunities to the manufactures and suppliers of finished products, equipment, machinery, paper chemicals, services, suppliers of paper, tissue and converting sector to tap the Middle East and North African markets.
Commenting on the event, Mr. Satish Khanna, General Manager, Al Fajer Information and Services, said: “As Dubai is the gateway for reaching out to the Middle East market, Paper Arabia represents the ideal platform for specialized Chinese companies to establish new contacts and seek new partners and customers from the Middle East region.”
The debut industry expo, Paper Arabia 2007, was highly successful with trade visitors surpassing expectations. Significantly, the show brought into the limelight the regional paper industry and the need to meet the local demand.
Khanna added: “With more than 200 exhibitors from 30 countries from across the world, Paper Arabia will be a key platform for traders and industry players to interact. In addition to China, the show’s participants include leading global names from the UAE, Italy, Jordan, France, Netherlands, India, Indonesia, Egypt, Germany, India, USA and the UK.”
Khanna added: “Paper Arabia 2009 will provide technical consulting service to enhance exchange of information, set up networks of household paper industry, undertake international cooperation on technology and provide a vast of technical and market information to overseas and domestic corporations. It is also an ideal place for forming joint venture business between domestic and overseas manufactures.”
In the exhibition, Xinnanling Machinery Factory will exhibit a wide array of paper machine knives, circular slitters, perforation knives, grinding machines where Zhucheng Dazheng Machinery Co., Ltd. will grasp its presence at the show to introduce latest toilet tissue machines, corrugated paper machine, paper board machine and related pulp making equipments.
China National Household Paper Industry Association includes the tissue paper branch, sanitary napkins branch, diapers branch, equipment branch and raw material branch. The association aims at enhancing service, defending the industry’s legitimate right and constructing innovative work systems to the tissue paper and disposable products Chinese companies.
Latest wet wipes machinery, manufacturing pulp making machines, paper making machines and environmental protecting equipments will be displayed in the three day show, where packaging machines covering food, salt, medicine, hardware and electric appliance, daily chemicals, healthcare and tissue paper and disposable hygiene products industries will also take part in the show.
Chongqing Sishuang Sanitary Products Co., Ltd. which manufactures sanitary napkins, baby diapers and Baosuo Paper Machinery Manufacturer, a leading provider of tissue converting machinery are keen to expand in the Middle East through Dubai.
Fujian Quanzhou Minghui Light Industrial Machinery Co., Ltd., which boasts advanced technology, sophisticated equipment, strict testing, and a scientific management system, said that they are present in Paper Arabia to establish friendly business relationships with prospective customers from the Middle East region.
The number of exhibitors has doubled this year, despite the global financial crisis. More than 5,000 trade visitors are expected to visit the three-day event.
The exhibition will work to promote technique improvement and economic development of the industry, and to quicken the modernization drive in this fast growing industry.
