Santa Claus threw stones alongside Palestinian youths on Monday, in images shown on Syrian state television depicting Father Christmas as the latest victim of Israeli terror.
The sequence starts with an image of Santa on his way to Jerusalem, merrily ringing his bells. Then he is violently accosted by Israeli troops who forbid him from going farther.
Santa Claus soon reappears among the youth of the Palestinian Intifada, throwing stones before running to hide from Israeli fire.
The clip ends with the image of disputed Jerusalem and a caption: "Uprising for Peace."
Syrian state television has devoted much of its broadcasts to Israeli-Palestinian violence since riots erupted in late September -- DAMASCUS (AFP)
