Six people were wounded in a bomb attack on a church in Nadia district during the Christmas eve mass on Tuesday night and some cash looted from the church safe and the devotees, a senior police official said on Wednesday.
According to PTI, DIG (HQ) N C Ghosh said some 20 criminals hurled bombs inside the church, located at Malipota near Karimpur-Chapra highway along India-Bangladesh border, before storming the prayer hall where the midnight Mass was held with some 1200 devotees.
The gang entered the prayer hall, looted money from the church safe and also wrist watches and other valuables from the devotees present there. (Albawaba.com)
