Cognos Prepares for Maximum Customer Satisfaction
Strategy Includes Recruiting Senior Consultant to Strengthen Customer Service in Gulf States

Cognos (NASDAQ: COGN; TSX: CSN), the world leader in business intelligence and performance management solutions, has announced plans to bolster its direct approach to customers and continuing provision of individual support as part of expanding its Middle East operations.

The company has said that recent regional growth, combined with identified sales potential across the Middle East, has meant that Cognos must now turn its focus more heavily to providing tailored support for its growing number of customers.

“Cognos has registered exponential growth and, to support our customers, we are expanding our dedicated local presence in target markets,” said Derek Morrison, Cognos regional general manager.  “This move includes bringing on high-level, senior personnel to support our ambitious growth targets.”

Cognos Middle East has appointed Sandip Roy M.A., with effect from June 2007.

Sandip Roy is a chartered account who brings to Cognos more than 10 years of professional experience, gained covering a variety of management, operational, and financial reporting requirements.

“With Sandip’s track record and business experience, we are confident that he will be able to grow our business in the region as it enters a new phase of development,” added Morrison.
