Commander of the Iranian Army Major General Ataollah Salehi said on Saturday that the Army is ready to counter any kind of threat. He made the remarks while talking to reporters on the sidelines of the Army Day ceremony which was held at the Mausoleum of the Founder of the Islamic Republic, the late Imam Khomeini, IRNA reported.
"The Islamic Iran loves all its neighboring states as well as all the world’s oppressed nations," he stated. The Army maintains its combat readiness and its deterrent capability in order to counter all the existing threats against the Islamic Republic of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, the commander added.
