Under the patronage of the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Arab International Industrial Forum will be held on May 25-28 at Doha Exhibition Center in the Qatari capital with Construction Products Holding Company (CPC) participating in the Forum as a sponsor.
The Forum is organized by the Arab Organization for Industrial Development and Mining, in cooperation with Qatar Ministry of Energy & Industry and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Qatar.
On this occasion, Dr. Faysal Alaquil, Director, Business Development of CPC International, said: "The Arab industry faces many challenges in the area of industry investments including lack of Arab industrial integration and low inter-Arab trade. In view of such challenges the need for laying down measures to protect a number of industries has become a must. Hence, the Arab International Industrial Forum plays a key role in developing Arab industry, expanding its base and boosting its competitiveness in the international markets, as well as providing a venue for periodical meetings for decision-makers from public and private sectors in the Arab countries to establish open dialogues amongst each other.”
Dr. Alaquil further pointed out:“The Forum aims also to create Arab/International gathering to act as a platform for dialogues between business and investment communities and their international counterparts, representatives of major companies, Arab and international banks and financial institutions. The Forum also aims to nationalize technology as well as to support research and development in the industrial sector and mining”
In addition it also seeks to introduce various investment opportunities in the industrial sector and create Arab – International partnerships, as well as provide the appropriate environment for holding business discussions, as well as introducing joint projects as a means for the integration of Arab industry, and the promotion of such projects."
Taking place alongside the Forum is an industrial promotional exhibition. Participants to the Forum include a number of ministers and senior officials of Arab and international personalities working in the fields of industry, mining, standardization trade, economy, finance, telecommunications, as well as a number of officials from the private sector such as bankers, investors and federations of chambers of commerce, industry and agriculture, and joint Arab-Foreign chambers of commerce, and a number of regional and international organizations and Arab development financing funds. Speakers and participants also will include a number of Arab ministers of industry, investors and international experts.
