According to JANA, the Head of the Nuclear Proliferation at the US State
Department, Mary Richard Donny underscored that the USA is ready to provide
Libyan companies and institutions with technical consultations and support
to establish various spare part industries and water desalination
equipments and cadres.
This came in a meeting held in Tripoli Thursday morning which included a number of Libyan economic activists and delegations representing both the American industrial and scientific institutions chaired by the American official who presented during the meeting explanations on the assistance and support that can be offered to the Libyan institutions and companies in this regard.
The American official underlined in this respect, that her country is ready to offer such support in appreciation of the courageous step adopted by the Great Jamahiriya by getting rid voluntarily of equipment and programmes that may lead to the manufacturing of internationally banned weapons.
The two sides exchanged views on the prospects of establishing a central project for mechanical industries in Great Jamahiriya, in the framework of preparation to establish the holding company for engineering industries which setting up has recently been ratified by the General People's Committee.
