Corning Cable Systems, part of Corning Incorporated’s (NYSE: GLW) Telecommunications segment, has announced the opening of its new Middle East Sales and Marketing office at Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA). Corning Cable Systems’ regional strategy will focus on high-end fiber optic solutions for large enterprises and data centers, and Dubai Silicon Oasis provides a high-technology environment for knowledge sharing and strategic partnerships.
Corning has been present in the Middle East for more than five years, but the move to Dubai Silicon Oasis enforces Corning’s commitment to the region and the tremendous possibilities for growth in the network infrastructure industry.

Although Dubai Silicon Oasis focuses on micro-electronic and semiconductor technologies, it was important for the development managers to recruit companies from various high-technology fields.

Until the Dubai Silicon Oasis’s headquarters building opens in beginning of 2007, the Corning Cable Systems’ office will temporarily be housed at DSO’s Microelectronics Innovation Center building on Sheikh Zayed Road.
