Home Centre, the international furniture retailer, has launched “Design & Win”, its first ever interactive interior design contest, which saw ten couples competing for the best dining table layout and bedroom setting in its Mecca Mall showroom in Amman.

Mr C Subramanian, General Manager, Landmark Jordan PSC Limited, said: “We are pleased with the competition turn out.  Over 400 customers have filled in the entry forms which were available at the showroom in the hope to showcase their talent and also to win some of the great prizes we had on offer.

Ten entries were short listed with five couples competing for best dining table layout and the other five for the best bedroom setting.  Contestants were judged by a panel of design experts on a number of parameters including basic design style, theme coherence, colour scheme, room layout and balance, creativity, innovation and team spirit

“Providing our customers with the ultimate shopping experience has been our overriding goal since our inception in 1995 for Home Centre. Through this interactive contest, we wanted to offer our customers a chance to enjoy creating their own design through decorating basic bedrooms and dinning rooms with our extensive collection of accessories. The feedback we received is great and we will definitely be hosting similar activities in the future”, added the General Manager.

Covering an area of 65,000 sq feet, the Home Centre showroom in Mecca Mall is built along the lines of their flagship stores around the GCC which provide each and every customer a complete home experience. Home Centre Mecca Mall covers a wide range of furniture styles and household accessories, catering to every taste and need.
