Cricket Tournament: Good -- and Bad

Published December 14th, 1999 - 02:00 GMT

While the recent Cricket Tournament was a great event for Morocco it was not so great for Morocco's crickets team.

Morocco hosted for the first time ever a cricket tournament, which was held at the Moulay Rashid Sports Institute. With their fellow countrymen cheering, the Rabat Stade Marocain lost both of their games. In their final game, the team lost to the Casablanca Indian XI, which represented Casablanca's Hindu community. The score was 103 runs for 2 wickets down in 15 over, and 85 runs for 9 wickets down in 15 over.

In the other game, the Rabat Stade Marocain lost against the Emirates' Friends XI of Rabat.
