Luxury Shopping Destination Encourages Shoppers to Enjoy a Cup of Coffee and Support the Safe & Sound Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign
BurJuman, the ultimate luxury shopping destination in the Middle East will host 'A Cup for Cancer day' on 18th August 2007 in support of the Safe & Sound Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.
In their endeavor to raise awareness and support of the year-long public education initiative centered on early breast cancer detection, diagnosis and treatment, various coffee shops and restaurants in the BurJuman will participate in the 'A Cup for Cancer' event. One Dirham of every cup of Coffee purchased from the outlets including Dome Café, The Gallery Restaurant, Barista Café, U and Me, and Tea Leaf Merchants Café will go to the Safe and Sound Programme
Proceeds from the 'A Cup for Cancer' initiative will be used to support awareness and education programmes, community outreach initiatives and patient care.
The BurJuman Safe & Sound Breast Cancer campaign, now in its tenth year, is aimed at women of all ages and ethnicities, and is designed to encourage women to do regular self-examinations, and further testing including mammographies and clinical consultations.
“We have organized the 'Cup for Cancer' day at BurJuman in order to generate funds to drive the awareness campaign and support the idea of self examination in women of all ages.
