Customer Service employees wear ID arm badges

Due to its keenness to provide best quality services to the Department's clients, Dubai Customs Customer Service employees at the Airport and different customs centers started to wear ID arm badges that clarify their job titles at the Customer Service and express their readiness and willingness to perform their duties towards them.

Mr. Mohammed Faraj Abdulla, Client Management Director said:" The main objective of these badges is to break the ice by introducing the employee's identity and giving clients the impression of employees' keenness to help and serve. Clients often ask for Customer Service employees' help and directions, especially at Dubai International Airport where passengers mostly inquire about procedures and services."

The arm badges carry Dubai Customs logo along with "May We Help You" as a slogan in both English and Arabic.

This initiative is part of previous initiatives in terms of customer service and inline with the Client Service Charter; for example, TARJIM Service which takes into accounts the cultural diversity in the UAE and deals with customers’ complaints in their own language. Seven languages were introduced to TARJIM that are most commonly used among clients; Persian, Urdu, Chinese, Spanish, French, Russian and Malayalam.

The Department has launched the Client Service Charter in Braille Language for the blind as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in cooperation with Emirates Association for the Blind. It has also offered Customer Service employees at the Airport and different customs centers training courses on sign language and code of conduct with people of special needs.
