Cyprus coastal police arrested Tuesday night eleven illegal immigrants aboard a Syrian boat sailing within Cyprus territorial waters.
A police spokesman told the official Cyprus News Agency CNA that the vessel was spotted at 10:50 [local time] Tuesday night by a coastguard patrol boat, approximately three nautical miles off the island's southeastern shores.
According to information, the vessel with the illegal immigrants had set sail from Latakia, Syria. (Albawaba.com)
