A radio broadcast from the Islamic State (also known as Daesh) has said that two "followers" of the group carried out an attack on a social services agency in California.

The broadcast follows earlier claims by the group that followers of IS were responsible for the shootings that left 14 dead.

"Two followers of Islamic State attacked several days ago a centre in San Bernardino in California," the group's daily broadcast al-Bayan said.

The FBI have said they are treating the attack by Tashfeen Malik and Syed Rizwan Farook as an "act of terrorism" but so far have found no evidence that the pair were known to the militant group.
