Dahleez village was officially opened Wednesday at Dubai Festival City, under the umbrella of Dubai: City That Cares 2001, to offer mystical Ramadan nights during the holy month with a vivid re-creation of traditional Dubai.
Saif Hareb, a partner at Al Dahleez Services, was quoted by the Khaleej Times as saying that "when we thought of organizing a family event in the month of Ramadan we found that highlighting the culture and heritage of Dubai was the most appropriate way to do it."
Al Dahleez village features an open-air restaurant equipped with five-star Arabian cuisine, food, beverages and shisha services.
Meanwhile, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry made the first daily draw of the Dubai: City That Cares' 10 lucky winners with each receiving Dh5,000.
According to the Dubai-based paper, the chamber will donate 20 percent of the amount of the prizes to charity. Drawing official Omar Sawan said on the occasion that 45 draw coupon boxes had been placed all over Dubai from which around 5,000 coupons were collected on the first day – Albawaba.com
