ALBAWABA - The "Khalid bin Al-Walid Brigades," an elite unit within the Military Operations Directorate, staged a military parade in Abbasid Square, sending a clear message of security and unity amid ongoing efforts to stabilize Syria.
The parade coincided with intensified security campaigns led by the Ministry of Interior under the new government, aimed at apprehending individuals associated with the ousted Bashar al-Assad regime.
According to the organizers, the display was meant to reassure the Syrian population that the forces of the Military Operations Directorate are an integral part of Syria’s social fabric. “We are dedicated to restoring and maintaining peace and stability in all Syrian cities and provinces,” a spokesperson stated during the event.
The Khalid bin Al-Walid Brigades, known for their pivotal role in the recent conflict, are regarded as the vanguard of the forces that entered Damascus and successfully ended Assad's regime on December 8. The parade was a demonstration of their readiness to continue securing the country during the transitional period.
This event comes at a time when the new Syrian administration is actively pursuing reforms and justice while addressing the nation’s pressing security challenges.
