Damascus Radio reported on Monday that what is being witnessed by, on the international arena of US pressures to adopt a resolution that supports the military option against Iraq, represents the military trend in solving conflicts and an alienation from diplomacy and dialogue, in line with international charters.
The state-run radio stressed, in its daily political commentary, that President Bashar al-Assad “truly expressed strong commitment (of the) international charters” in the course of his recent meeting with a British parliamentary delegation, when he underlined the need to exclude any military action against Iraq.
The official Syrian Arab News Agency quoted the radio as expressing surprise over the US protection of Israel against any pressures to implement scores of international resolutions, which date back over half a century. (Albawaba.com)
