Damascus Radio on Sunday stressed that the Syrian high-level diplomatic and political actions, aimed at preventing war in the region have been “quick”, in the framework of efforts being exerted by Syria under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad.
Cited by SANA, the state-run radio reported that Syria’s political action with neighboring countries was responsibly carried out to activate all the potential efforts to prevent the “ghost of war from the region”.
It underlined that the consultative meetings and the ministerial meeting of Iraq’s neighboring states gained particular importance, especially if that meeting were to yield substantial results and a common ground as expected to pave the way for a summit of the head of states of these countries to be held in Ankara.
