ALBAWABA - Over the course of more than 31 days, Israeli forces killed more people in the latest aggression than Russia has killed in the 620 days of its invasion of Ukraine.
According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, 10,328 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire since the beginning of the latest Israeli aggression on Gaza, meanwhile, over the course of more than 620 days, 9,806 Ukrainian civilians have been killed by Russia since the start of its war against Ukraine.
This means more civilians were killed in Gaza over the past month than in Ukraine in over 20 times that amount of time, highlighting the severity of Israel's onslaught, Anadulo news agency reported.
According to reports by the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 40% of the 10,328 Palestinians killed in the Israeli attacks since Oct. 7 have been children, indicating that about five children are killed every hour in Gaza.
The number of children killed in Palestine in the previous three weeks alone has surpassed the number of children killed in conflicts worldwide in 2020, 2021, and 2022, according to the NGO Save The Children.
Israel also started a chain of hospital targeting, starting off with Al-Ahli Arabi Baptist Hospital massacre, which killed more than 600 Palestinians, and most recently the targeting of Al Shifa Hospital on November 6th, causing severe damage to one of its floors, in addition to killing and injuring a number of those who took refuge in the hospital.
According to the 1949 Geneva Conventions, "Civilian hospitals organized to give care to the wounded and sick, the infirm, and maternity cases, may in no circumstances be the object of attack but shall at all times be respected and protected by the Parties to the conflict".
Western officials have consistently denounced and sanctioned Moscow for its killing of people from the beginning of the Russian war on Ukraine, but they have done nothing to stop Israel's bombing of the Gaza Strip, which has also resulted in thousands of civilian deaths.
Hamas operation against Israel
Hamas military group announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel which is the biggest offensive in decades.
Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip capturing military bases and taking hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.
In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
As the Israeli aggression enters its second month on the besieged strip, according to the Ministry of Health's latest report, Israeli forces managed to kill more than 10,328 Palestinians, including 4,237 children and 2,719 women.
Additionally, 24,808 have reportedly been injured varying between severe and minor injuries. Ministry of Health also received 2,660 reports of missing people, most of whom are children.
