Delivering quality news quickly
The National plans effective UAE-wide distribution
Abu Dhabi Media Company has confirmed that the launch of the UAE’s new quality English language newspaper, The National, will use a dedicated distribution network to achieve its target objective of delivering the paper to newsstands across the seven emirates by sunrise on Thursday, 17 April.
The first editions will hit newsstands in the capital at around 2 a.m., less than one hour after leaving the presses. A dedicated fleet of 550 branded vans, cars and motorcycles will deliver more than 80,000 copies of The National to subscribers and retail outlets across the country.
Significant reader demand for the historic launch issues has already been registered by a dedicated call centre that will manage subscriptions for The National.
“Discerning readers will judge the quality of The National not only by its content, but their ability to get their first copies quickly and without fuss,” says Raed Hamdan, distribution director at Abu Dhabi Media Company.
“With the newspaper offering 80 pages of intelligent, well-designed news, business, sports, culture and features, we want to make it as easy as possible for readers to join the ‘national conversation’ from the moment we launch,” says Hamdan.
“This Thursday is an opportunity to test our distribution system, which has been tailor-made for effectiveness. We're looking for feedback from all seven emirates to let us know if we got it right first time," concludes Hamdan.
Abu Dhabi Media Company confirmed that subscriptions to The National can be made by calling 800-2220 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on weekdays and between 8 a.m and 4 p.m. on weekends. Readers can also contact subscriptions@admedia.ae
