Strengthening its continuous commitment to the Bahraini community, DHL Bahrain, the leading express logistics provider recently launched a blood donation campaign for its staff members in the Kingdom.
The initiative was part of DHL Bahrain’s dedication to advancing national causes especially for hospitals and medical centres Kingdom-wide whose supplies have declined, particularly of rare blood types.
Nour Suliman, DHL Bahrain General Manager highlighted the importance of the initiative as one of the company’s corporate social responsibilities saying: “We wanted to emphasise our commitment to the local community with this contribution from our dedicated staff, to provide all possible help and assistance to those who need it.”
The life-saving campaign witnessed a huge response from staff to donate their blood. “Our staff recognise the importance of the initiative and their response has been outstanding,” commented Suliman.
With over 45 donors participating in the campaign, covering six departments, 35 litres of blood were collected. A medical crew on location provided key professional assistance, advice and oversaw the wellbeing of the donors.
