Lebanese songstress Diana Haddad has started recording a new song, Al Haq Yuktab Min Dami (Rights Are Written With My Blood), in support of the Al Aqsa Intifada and the resilience of the Palestinian people in the face of tyranny, reported Al Sharq El Awsat newspaper.

“This song is the least I can dedicate to the Palestinian people in support for their cause,” said Haddad adding “if we believe that these hard times are not the times to contribute anything; then when is the right time?!”

“We cannot watch idly what we see on television and not move,” she explained.

The lyrics of Haddad’s passionate song, written by Saudi Arabian poet Saoud Al Sharbatli, say “rights are written with my blood… There is a name that my mouth repeats, Jerusalem, here we are, we have come to save you. Young soldiers have beat the old, thrown stones and made the enemy’s murdering army flee.”

Meanwhile, the song’s composer, Samir Sfeir, has traveled to Egypt in order to begin the recording. Sfeir is then scheduled to travel to the UAE, where Haddad resides, in order to dub her voice onto the music sound track.

Furthermore, director Suheil Al Abdul will be shooting the music video which will soon appear all Arab satellite channels – Albawaba.com.
