Doha Bank has announced that it is bolstering its senior management hierarchy with the appointment of Mr. Gerard Fitzgerald and Mr. Louis Scotto.
Mr. Fitzgerald, aged 50, has joined as AGM - Technology, Operations and Admin/ Engg. and brings with him more than 25 years of experience in financial services at senior levels. He has worked for Citibank and Barclays Bank in Europe, Africa and the Middle East where he was part of the management team that implemented start-up operations in commercial, retail and consumer finance. His new role in Doha Bank will be to optimize all processes in Technology and Operations and to ensure that services to customers are the best in class.
Mr. Louis Scotto, aged 57, has been appointed as AGM - Retail Banking and is a veteran banker with more than 35 years experience in the US, Europe and the Middle East. He too began his career with Citibank, New York, and then moved overseas where he was instrumental in establishing Citibank’s retail franchise in the Middle East. His regional exposure includes Riyadh Bank, National Bank of Kuwait, and the Emirates NBD Bank. He has also served as President of the American Business Council, Dubai.
