Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) is organizing an exciting series of summer events called “Doha Summer Fun City”. The festivities will be held at the Doha Exhibition Center, where events and activities will run from July 20th through September 14th.

In collaboration with SEQLIA Organizing & Building Exhibitions & Conferences Company, the fun-filled program will make the Doha Exhibition Center a must-visit destination during the summer and Ramadan period, providing a variety of options for children and families all in a single, convenient location. Doha Summer Fun City will feature games, entertainment, amusement rides and other fun activities geared to people of all ages for residents in Qatar and visitors from around the region.

“Qatar Tourism Authority is excited to organize these summer activities as part of our initiative to promote domestic tourism in Qatar,” said an executive at Qatar Tourism Authority.  “We have launched a broad marketing campaign within Qatar as well as around the region about the festivities, inviting families in neighboring countries to come to Qatar and enjoy the fun.”

The festival will provide families, and especially children, on their summer holidays, with a culture-rich, educational and fun-packed vacation experience without traveling far from home. Through the Doha Summer Fun City, Qatar Tourism Authority is promoting high-quality leisure events to make the 2010 summer lively and unforgettable.

The entire event will occupy 12,500 square meters in the Doha Exhibition Center, with 10,000 square meters of amusement rides and games.  To make the event fun for all attending families, restaurants, cafes and shops will be set up in the Doha Exhibition Center throughout the duration of festival.

The wide range of activities and events at Doha Summer Fun City will ensure there is something for everyone. Doha Summer Fun City will welcome fun-seekers from 3pm to midnight Saturday to Wednesday; and from 3pm to 1am on Thursdays and Fridays. Hours during Ramadan will be from 8pm to 2am and during Eid Al Fitr from noon to 1am.  Entry is free for all.  Game tickets start from QR5.
