The frequent traffic snags of Dubai takes its toll on all of us whether commuting to work or driving for a dinner appointment. What it also does is have an effect on the vehicle engine.

According to experts, ExxonMobil Middle East Marketing Corporation (EMMEM), one of the leading marketers of premium lubricants and specialty products, recommend that using the correct lubricant will increase engine life.

Michel Gouzerh, Chairman and CEO of ExxonMobil Middle East Marketing Corporation said, “Don’t let the Dubai traffic snags take its toll on your vehicle engine. By ensuring your vehicle has the correct lubricant, you can increase the life of your car. Motor oil not only protects and lubricates but it also cools critical engine parts by transferring heat away from them.”

Motor oil probably handles more tasks within an engine than any other component, fluid or material. While most people know that motor oil’s main job is to protect the engine by lubricating its moving parts, modern motor oil also helps improve fuel economy and keeps internal components clean and free from varnish and harmful deposits.

“Although most motor companies recommend oil change frequencies, local driving conditions should be considered for oil and oil filter change as these can determine oil change requirements,” added Gouzerh.

EMMEM further explained that the region’s dusty weather conditions can cause abrasive damage to the oil system through the air filter.  Mobil 1 With SuperSyn™, ExxonMobil’s number one synthetic motor oil in the world, has a unique anti-wear system that has astounding protective properties. Instead of breaking down during extreme high-stress, high-temperature conditions, this proprietary additive system actually excels under these conditions.

Mobil 1 with SuperSyn is original equipment in some of the world’s finest vehicles including Porsche, Chevrolet, Corvette and Mercedes-Benz AMG vehicles.

“All oils are designed to prevent corrosive contaminants from being deposited on engine surfaces. No matter how good the oil and the oil filter, eventually they can no longer do their jobs effectively. That’s because with time and mileage, the oil’s additives get used up, causing the oil itself to degrade. At this point the oil must be changed and regular oil replacement leads to increased engine life,” added Gouzerh.
