Dozens of Senior Ministers, Experts to Engage at IISS Regional Security Summit, The Manama Dialogue

 

Over two dozen prime ministers, defence ministers, foreign ministers, national security advisors, military and intelligence chiefs, and other top officials have confirmed for The IISS Regional Security Summit, The Manama Dialogue, to be held in Bahrain from 12 to 14 December 2008.

 

The Manama Dialogue is the primary security forum in the Gulf and facilitates the engagement of the national security and foreign policy establishments of the region with critical external powers.  On-the-record, The Dialogue will feature official addresses, plenary sessions, press conferences and other media opportunities.

 

Participating countries are: Australia, Bahrain, China, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Turkey, the UAE, United Kingdom, United States, and Yemen.

 

Media registration for the Manama Dialogue is now open and will close on 9 December 2008.  To request accreditation, kindly email dialoguepress@iiss.org.  You will then be sent online registration instructions and will receive a confirmation within 24 hours if successfully accredited.  We are happy to welcome TV crews, radio, print, internet and all other types of media.  Owing to security requirements, registration on-site may not be possible.
