: Benchmarking Subgroup, one of Dubai Quality Group's (DQG) subgroups, in cooperation with Sharjah University, yesterday evening, held a free open evening seminar entitled "Right Bases of Benchmarking".
A wide range of businessmen, experts and representatives of private institutions, government departments and university students attended the seminar that took place at the University headquarters.
Mr. Ali Al Fadhlani, chairman of Benchmarking Subgroup, gave a lecture and addressed the right bases and rules to be followed when conducting benchmarking among institutions.
Mr. Al Fadhlani said "Benchmarking is an effective tool that relies on investment of the best practices and applications in various fields of the institution and comparison of such practices with their counterparts in successful similar institutions, thus contributing to sharing experience and knowledge as well as developing the level of performance, results, services and functional practices."
"This free evening seminar is one of various events scheduled to be held this year by the Benchmarking Subgroup in line with its strategy aiming at doubling the efforts to develop Emirati business community and expanding the geographic area targeted by Subgroup's activities to include GCC states and other countries in the region." He added.
It's noteworthy that DQG has expanded its activities since the beginning of this year with a view to enabling the local business community to keep pace with modern accelerated developments in the realm of business.
