Drug Trafficking Gang Busted in Oman

The Royal Oman Police [ROP] arrested a group of 6 drug traffickers who have been smuggling and storing the narcotics in the Sultanate.  


The Oman Observer daily reports that at the time of the bust, the members had 27 kilograms of heroin and 600 kilograms of marijuana. ROP officials identified the gang members, who confessed to the crime, as: Pakistanis Murad Mir Dad, 60, Abduljaleel Khair Faqeer, 42, Saleh Mohammed Said, 33, Kamalan Dad Kareem, 38, Abdulwahid Rasool Nakhsh, 40, and Omani Jamal Basham bin Doshi, 51.  

The suspects will be referred to the Penal Court once the investigation is officially closed.
