Dubai Summer Surprises 2010 is all set for a spectacular opening on Thursday, June 17th, with amazing retail promotions, prizes, and discounts across the best entertainment destinations in Dubai. The one-day exclusive campaign is being organized by the Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment (DEPE) to highlight the DSS slogan for this year – 'Dubai, your summer destination of surprises'.
Twenty-five malls are part of the opening day extravaganza where shoppers get a scratch card for every purchase of AED 500 and the chance to win vouchers to entertain hotspots like Modhesh World, Aquaplay, Ski Dubai, Magic Planet, Cite' des Enfants, Soccer Circus Dubai, iFLY, At The Top, Burj Khalifa Observatory, Cinestar Cinemas, Aquaventure & The Lost Chambers, Dubai Dolphinarium, and Wild Wadi Water Park. These entertainment venues will also have incredible promotions on the opening day.
"Every DSS opening is unique and we endeavour to make it innovative and as exciting as possible for DSS visitors. The opening day promotion is distinctive because it involves all the major shopping malls in Dubai and gives shoppers an opportunity to shop at heavily discounted prices and not only win for themselves but for their families as well. The promotion was designed to highlight our commitment towards enhancing the DSS experience for families and subsequently making their summer holidays in Dubai memorable," said DEPE through a statement.
Participating malls include Al Bustan Centre, Al Ghurair City, Al Manal Centre, Al Mulla Plaza, Arabian Centre, BurJuman, Century Mall, Deira City Centre, Dubai Festival City, Dubai Marina Mall, Dubai Outlet Mall, Hamarain Centre, Lamcy Plaza, Mall of the Emirates, Mazaya Centre, Mercato, Mirdif City Centre, Oasis Centre, Palm Strip, Reef Mall, Souk Al Bahar, The Dubai Mall, Town Centre, and WAFI. The promotion will begin at 10am and go on for twelve hours till 10pm on June 17th.
Visitors will also be treated to a host of entertainment events on the opening day with malls hosting numerous shows and performers. Some of the highlights include the Circusfera Show at Al Ghurair City, Pinocchio Puppet Show at BurJuman , Tap & Hip Hop Dancers Show at Deira City Centre, Bucket Boys at Dubai Festival City, Clown Balloon Maker at Dubai Outlet Mal, Football Trickster Show at Lamcy Plaza, Clown Balloon Maker at Mercato, Football on Rollers at Souk Al Bahar, Kids Wonder Talent Show at The Dubai Mall, and The Gold People at Wafi.
