More than forty five artists performing exciting stunts and acts including stilt walkers, stilt jumpers, jugglers and cyclists make up the DSS carnival. Dressed in the trademark blue and yellow of the DSS logo, the DSS smiles adorn their clothes. Elements of DSS like music, sumptuous food and the letters that spell ‘Dubai’ finish off the carnival. The carnival winds its way with performers dancing and displaying thrilling acts.
The popular Dixieland music plays to add to the festivity. This “Carnival Music” is a style of jazz which developed in New Orleans at the start of the 20th century. Dixieland jazz combines brass band marches and instruments such as the trumpet (or cornet), trombone and clarinet.
