United Arab Emirates, April 9, 2010: The Dubai Organising Committee for the SportAccord International Convention 2010 Dubai met yesterday Thursday, 8th of April to discuss all related matters to this international event taking place from 25 - 30 of April. Headed by Saeed Hareb, Second Vice President of the committee and Executive Director of the Convention, the meeting was held with the intention of activating the roles of all committee members through the various teams and taskforces that were established to support the convention.
The main themes that the committee aims to reaffirm were emphasised during this meeting. “This convention is a unique event that brings together decision-makers in international sports, representing an ideal meeting point in which sports federations and organisations from around the world can exchange ideas and information, and collaborate to create best practices in sports management across all sports categories.” said Saeed Hareb.
The meeting addressed all the organisational details of the event, starting from the media plan that aims to deliver real messages to internal and external audiences, to the smallest details related to marketing, transportation and the various services offered to participants and guests, in line with Dubai’s and the UAE’s standards of premier hospitality. The meeting also addressed everything related to the opening ceremony, VIP attendance and detailed organisational processes and procedures, to ensure that the convention runs smoothly and nothing is left to chance.
It was agreed during the meeting that all members of the Dubai Organising Committee would be on high alert to perform and achieve all their duties, while presenting daily reports that include progress against the plan.
All members were instructed to assume their responsibilities and duties in line with the set themes and to report anything they need to the Second Vice President Saeed Hareb at any time, to ensure that the organisational work is being executed as required and commensurate with Dubai’s reputation on all levels. It was also decided that Dubai’s Organising Committee would continue to be on this state of high alert till the convention ends on April 30, 2010.
