The seven heritage sites in Dubai will remain open during the holy month of Ramadan, welcoming all visitors with slight change in schedule, according to the government of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).

Dubai Museum in Al Fahidi Fort, Sheikh Saeed's House in Shindagha. Majlis Ghorfat Um Al Sheif in Jumeirah, Al Ahmadiya School and Heritage House in Deira and Hatta Heritage Village will all remain open from Saturday through Thursday between 9:00am and 5:00pm.

The six sites will also remain open on Friday from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, said a statement by the department.

The Heritage and Diving Village in Shindagha area will open between 9:00am and 2:00pm and 7:00pm and 12:00pm Saturday through Wednesday. On Thursday and Friday the two sites will open in the evening between 7:00pm and 12:00pm.

"The changed [schedule] will make it easier for visitors to explore the sites during the month of Ramadan and will suit the itineraries of tour operators who frequently bring visitors to the sites," said DTCM's manager of heritage sites and events, Awadh Al Seghayer.

The UAE's Arab culture presents a distinctive tourism product that is being developed and promoted to provide significant growth for the industry.

The DTCM has provided strategic planning and marketing for the cultural and heritage sites in Dubai by employing an integrated approach to heritage development.

The department is currently supervising the development, promotion and marketing of eight heritage and culture sites in Dubai – Albawaba.com
