UAE’s Dubai Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Department has launched a website (www.muslimweb.gov.ae) to provide its services to the public, reported the official WAM news agency.

“People can use this site to put their questions related to Islam and clear their doubts from qualified scholars,” said Khalid Ahmed Al Sheikh Mubarak Al Shamsi, deputy director general of the department.

He said the site contains several pages such as fatawa (Muslim religious legal opinions), hijri calendar, prayer times and other servies.

The site, in Arabic for the time being, will have English, French and Urdu versions very soon, said Shamsi – Albawaba.com
