The Dubai Financial Market and the Bahrain and Amman stock exchanges are discussing a joint bourse venture linking growth and IT companies, the Gulf News reported Monday.
According to the paper, there was no official comment from the local authorities Sunday, but sources said the exchange would be for companies with growth potential.
Industry sources speculated the project may be the precursor to the regional common market that officials have been exploring for some time, the daily said, quoting a marketman as saying that the UAE, Bahrain and Jordan stock exchanges use the same computer system, thus simplifying efforts to establish a common platform -- Albawaba.com
