HE Eng Hamad Buamim, Director General, Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and HE Raimondo Orsetti, Director General, Department of Internationalisation, Marche Region in Italy, signed an Agreement of Cooperation during the visit of the Italian delegation comprising of his department’s officials and businessmen to Dubai Chamber on Thursday. Under the agreement both the parties acknowledge the importance of coordinating and reinforcing relations of friendship, cooperation and economic collaboration between Dubai and the Marche Region.
The agreement, which comes in accordance with the mutual agreements between the two national Governments, is intended to develop, facilitate and promote the scope and extent of cooperation and partnership between the Marche Region and Dubai in the sectors of economics and finance, industry, trade and investments, technology and science and promotion of tourism relation, setting up direct businesses, joint ventures and the strategic objectives and guidelines for such efforts and determining the operating procedures.
Buamim said, “The agreement comes in line with Dubai Chamber’s strategic objectives of creating a favourable business environment and promoting Dubai as an international business hub. On its part, Dubai Chamber will extend all possible help and support to the Marche Region in hosting seminar and workshops for the promotion of this Italian region’s goods and services and to facilitate its re-export to India and China.”
On his second visit to Dubai, HE Raimondo Orsetti, was all praise for Dubai’s
strategic location as a re-export hub to India and China for the Italian region and said that the trading ties between Marche Region and Dubai will be further strengthened under this new agreement. Orsetti informed that one of his region’s company is already involved in the yacht industry in Dubai and urged UAE companies to invest in his region. He was delighted to visit the Italian-themed Mercato Mall and extended an invitation to the Director General of Dubai Chamber to visit the Chamber of Commerce in Marche Region.
While assuring all assistance to the delegation, Buamim thanked the visiting Director General of Marche Region for his invitation to visit their Chamber of
Commerce and hoped Emirates airline would start direct flights to the region which will further help boost trade ties between the two sides.
