Dubai Chamber pays tribute to the success of Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA)

After successfully hosting the 13th DIHQA event at the Chamber auditorium, Dubai Chamber reaffirms its continued support to the annual event


Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry is intensifying its preparation for the conclusion of the thirteenth session of Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA), held at the Chamber’s premises today on Thursday.

The Award, held under the patronage of its founder HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, had attracted an overwhelming audience in both the Islamic lectures part and the Holy Quran contest.

The Chamber’s auditorium welcomed prominent Islamic scholars including Saeed bin Masfar, Mohammed Ratib Al Nabulsi, Sheikh Mohammed Al Masri, Omar Abdulla Al Kafi, Sheikh Mohammed Hassan and Amro Khalid who delivered lectures on different Islamic topics. The International Contest recorded high attendees as young memorizers of the Holy Quran from around the world competed to demonstrate their ability to memorize and recite the Holy Quran.

HE Engineer Hamad Buamim, Director General, Dubai Chamber, expressed his delight in hosting the annual DIHQA event which he said has now become an iconic event for Dubai. Buamim highlighted the important role played by the
Dubai International Holy Quran Award in encouraging young Muslims

 

 

 

around the world in memorizing the Holy Quran, pointing out that the Award succeeded in becoming a source of inspiration for the young Muslim generation.
 
The Director General reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment in providing its facilities for the Award in the future, stating that the event promotes Dubai as a religious and cultural melting pot which also goes down well with the objective of Dubai Chamber in promoting Dubai as an international business hub.
