Dubai Customs celebrates the graduation of 53 inspection officers

Dubai Customs yesterday celebrated the graduation of a new batch of inspectors following their participation in the basic course no. (14) Involving 53 inspectors.

The course, which intends to provide best human resources through designing training programs that include series of basic, refresher and advanced course, comes within the context of implementing Dubai Customs strategy.

The graduation ceremony was held at Dubai Police Academy, which organized and supervised such 3 month course during which the inspectors had intensive training by lecturers and trainers from both Dubai customs and Dubai Police Academy.

This proceeds from the cooperation between the two organizations and the assurance of their strategic integration and partnership that comes within the framework of Dubai strategy towards providing safety and security to the society.

The ceremony was held under the patronage of Brigadier Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Bin Fahed, the Director of Dubai Police Academy with the presence of Mohammed Al Mari, the Executive Director of Cargo Operations representing the Director General of Dubai Customs as well as a number of Dubai Customs managers and police officers.

Prior to receiving their graduation certificates, the graduates demonstrated a review parade with the performance of some military movements and steps.

The Director of Dubai Police Academy and the representative of Dubai Customs exchanged the memorial shields assuring their continuation in coordination and cooperation that serving the interest of Dubai and its society.

Commenting on this occasion, Feryal Tawakul, the Executive Director of the Human Resources Division said, “The 3 month basic course no. 14 that involving for the first time 53 customs inspectors reflects the bright image of the relations between Dubai Customs and Dubai Police academy and stresses the importance and necessity of strengthening such ties.”

Ms Tawakul lauded the role being played by Dubai Police Academy in enhancing the training career for the customs inspectors by providing them with knowledge, technology and the most salient scientific and specialized developments in all relevant fields.
Ms Tawakol reiterated her appreciation to his Excellency commander in chief of Dubai Police and the Director of Dubai Police Academy and its staff for their support to this program.
