Dubai Customs in Coordination with Heath Authority Organizes Blood Donation Campaign

In a campaign organized by Dubai Customs in collaboration with Dubai Health Authority and Al Wasl Hospital Blood Donation Centre, Dubai Customs male and female employees donate their blood to the patients of critical cases, specially, the children who are sick with Thalssemia.

Mrs. Nadia Gharib Abdulla Klenter, the Head of Marketing and Blood Donators Registration in Dubai Blood Donation Centre of Dubai Health Authority, has expressed her gratitude and pleasure for the great continual cooperation that lavishly Dubai Customs shows in the activities of blood donation by annually organizing similar regular campaigns which in turn have increased provision and availability of blood in the Blood Centre to the help of the children afflicted with Thalssemia and other critical patients.


The campaign has come with the framework of Dubai Customs CSR, and inline with Dubai Customs re-affirmation of ensuring the importance of blood donation as a noble attitude and a humanitarian spontaneous move that urgently needed by many, and by this, Dubai Customs, specially by the advent of the Holy Month of Ramadan, wishes to mainly provide a blood bank to the Thalssemia children and the critical emergency cases that need an urgent blood transfusion, and within this time, so far a great deal of blood have been donated to sustain the needy and patients.

The campaign which was sponsored by Dubai Customs CSR, has included three Customs Centers, namely, Rashid Port HQ, Jebel Ali Customs Centre and Dubai Customs Passengers Operation Administration Office – Terminal 1.

The campaign has witness attendance of many participants from the employees, inspectors and customers who all rush to donate their blood in response to the campaign program and objectives, and as well, by this initiative, they re-affirm their contribution and communication with the sectors of the community by providing and donating the humanitarian possible aids. The campaign also, have been visited by managers and heads of departments who expressed their happiness while contributing by themselves in such campaigns to strengthen links between health, sanitary and humanitarian benefits and assisting to avail the needy and patients with blood bank.
