Dubai Fashion Fiesta 2010 gets ready for a glamorous opening on July 22

Reinforcing Dubai's well documented reputation as a global fashion capital and a destination for global talent, Dubai Fashion Fiesta 2010 - an official event and a highlight of Dubai Summer Surprises 2010, will open on Thursday, July 22, at the Sheikh Rashid halls C and D of the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC).

The event will run until July 24 with a display of collections by established and emerging designers and fashion labels. In its fourth edition, Dubai Fashion Fiesta will see 30 models take the ramp and unveil the latest fashion trends by Amato Couture, Panache Women, Archana Kochhar, Arabella, Illustra Fashion, Alia Couture, Preston University, Germen Design, Glance Fashion, Nazin Akter, Art Fashion, Haute Pink Couture, KT Brown, Laswa Fashion, Amber Firoz, Rocky S, Hush Saloon Make-over, and designers from Nigeria Fashion Week.

"Dubai Fashion Fiesta is not just a fashion event but an exclusive gathering that attracts renowned designers, buyers, and fashion enthusiasts from across the Middle East. By including high-profile fashion events such as Dubai Fashion Fiesta in the DSS itinerary, we are contributing to the overall aim of promoting Dubai as a global fashion capital," said DEPE.

Offering contemporary and classical designs, the designers are set to enthrall the style aficionados with elegant, exclusive ensembles. Supported by DFF's philosophy of designer programmes, the event seeks to be one of the region's most exclusive trade shows in the women's market, bringing together leading retailers, high profile audiences and international media.

Launched to bring together designers, buyers, and fashion enthusiasts, Dubai Fashion Fiesta or DFF is slated to attract wide media attention due to the inclusion of high profile participants. The larger aim of the fashion extravaganza is to contribute in promoting Dubai as the fashion hub in the region.

The opening day on July 22 features the collections of Amato Couture, Panache Women, and Archana Kochhar at 8:30pm. July 23 showcases the collections of Arabella, Illustra Fashion, and Alia Couture at 5:30pm, Hush Saloon Make-over and designers from Nigeria Fashion Week at 7:15pm, and Preston University, Germen Design, and Glance Fashion at 9pm. Collections of Nazin Akter, Art Fashion, and Haute Pink Couture take the catwalk at 5:30pm on July 24, while the 7:15pm show features KT Brown, Laswa Fashion, and Amber Firoz. The final show of the day and the event features Indian designer Rocky S at 9pm.
